Thanksgiving

Yesterday was over-all a wonderful day! At lunch my daddy's office had a thanksgiving 'feast' where everyone brought something! It was great! Then my sister--Caroline--came over and we hung out the rest of the day! We thought we must of gotten drunk of Sparkling Grape Juice Lol! It was Yummy!

Today is thanksgiving. I just wanted to take some of my day to explain the reason for this holiday somewhat. First of all Thanksgiving should NOT be called Turkey Day. Just saying... but this is our holiday when we are suposed to give thanks to our Heavenly Father and spend time together as a family. It is not a day when everyone in America eats a large turkey. And why do you think its only an American holiday huh? Well the pilgrims came for religious freedom but when they came they were here for a tough first winter. Many of the brave folks died. But the indians helped the pilgrims and they had much to eat so they called for a feast of thanksgiving. And they used this day to yes--eat--but more importantly to give thanks. So do not, PLEASE, do NOT call this only Turkey Day. It is so much more than that. Thats all I have to say.

Right now, despite our strange holiday circumstances, our family is enjoying the 'Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade' and we are enjoying time together. I know my family and even I are not giving enough thanks today and I am going to have to change that. I hope you all the best time today together. Don't waste your time away together, enjoy every moment because you never know when these moments are going to end and your chance will be snached away. Give thanks to God, He deserves it. Happy Blogging.
